  25. Please Frank (and Joe D.) feel free to use the word "perfectly".
  26. Or maybe not.  MSKermit does a better job of VT100 than a DEC VT100
  27. terminal.  How is that possible?  By definition of the official Digital
  28. Equipment Corp VT100 evaluation.

  30. While testing various terminals for OEM relabelling, we found that none of
  31. them would pass all phases of the DEC VT100 testing.  But we also found that
  32. the DEC VT100 would fail, if the test was being driven by a fast computer.

  34. MSKermit failed the "large character" mode, as noted in the docs, but passed
  35. all of the other modes.
  36.  
  37. We finally OEM'd a terminal that was chosen by one of our large customers,
  38. and was not the one favored by internal test... Oh well.
  39.  
  40. The MSKermit VT100 has proven to be correct in every case of serial
  41. corruption that I encountered while debugging problems with serial handlers
  42. and various terminals.  If a problem was reported, MSKermit was always my
  43. standard for investigation.
